In 2001 a music group was formed to serve as back up band for a live radio theater program entitled, Our Search for the Northwest Passage. It commemorated Lewis and Clark's Journey of Discovery. And, was Hosted by John Rockwell and produced by singer-songwriter, Dale Rollins; who wrote all the original songs and scripte. The program enjoyed one successful season. And, it was well received by the public. Then disaster struck. John Rockwells family was killed in a plane crash. And it took the wind out of everyone's sails. The show was disbanded. However, the canned program may be aired again with the public again--in 2012. It's eclectic troop of artists, musicians, guests (occassional celebrities) may yet again commemorate the American experience through their songs and stories. The namesake may continue on as well.
